Contact Us: Official Records

This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Please use the agency or court that holds the information for those matters.

Official Lauderdale County Contacts

For a Lauderdale County booking record, start with the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office administrative office. Ask for the current delivery method if the request belongs with the detention facility's Inmate Records function. The administrative office and the detention mailing address serve different purposes, so confirm the correct destination before sending a written request.

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office
2500 Courthouse Boulevard
Meridian, MS 39301
Administration: 601-482-9806
Administrative hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Detention Central Control, current custody or bond: 601-482-9801
Inmate Records, Lt. Amy Reynolds: 601-482-9898

The official LCSO directory identifies Inmate Records and Central Control separately. Central Control is appropriate for current custody or bond questions, but it is not a substitute for a public-records request. LCSO's public pages do not show a separate booking-photo request form or dedicated records email.

Use the route that matches the information sought:

  • For a current or released county custody listing, use the official LCSO roster selection page and then call Central Control when a time-sensitive confirmation is needed.
  • For a booking sheet, charge and bond record, release record, or a possible booking-photo copy, direct a written request to Lauderdale County Detention Facility / Inmate Records and include the name, booking number if known, date, and item requested.
  • For county records outside the sheriff's custody, the Lauderdale County Request for County Records form lists the Board of Supervisors at 2600 Courthouse Boulevard, Meridian, MS 39301, and records@lauderdalecounty.org.
  • For a wanted-person listing or an official warrant-check route, consult the Most Wanted Fugitives guide and contact the responsible official office rather than acting on a web listing.
  • For a Meridian incident or municipal record, the Meridian Police Department lists Courts and Records at 601-485-1836. The city does not publish a daily arrest log or a municipal mugshot roster.
  • For a Marion incident or public record, contact the Town of Marion at Town Hall, 6021 Dale Drive, Marion, MS 39342, 601-483-9573. County booking material remains an LCSO matter.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Mississippi Department of Corrections search. Federal custody and immigration detention require the appropriate BOP or ICE locator, not the county roster.

Our home page explains the county roster, booking-record request steps, custody-state differences, and the public-records rules that may apply. A booking entry records an accusation, not a finding of guilt, and the court file is the source for the later disposition.
